| She cried, not because we were singing, but because she was tired and it took us a few minutes to get organized and she had been sitting in her chair wondering why she couldn't go to bed. |

| At first it was just something to play with. I don't think she knew it was edible! Funny she didn't think to try it since she'll pop a tumbleweed of cat hair in her mouth without thinking twice. |

| At some point, maybe after this picture, she finally gave up on whining and made her final signal of exhaustion by sticking her thumb in her mouth. It took her a split second to register the sweet sugary taste from that little blue thumb, and she quickly whipped it right back out of her mouth with a surprised look on her face. I wish we had caught it on video |

| After that she knew just what to do, and even seemed to enjoy it more than a passing hair ball and other such delicacies she she brings in on her daily hunting expeditions. |

| And then my camera was acting slow so we turned off the flash. I'm kind of bummed about it. |

| What a lady. She only got a little on her dress, and none in her hair. Somehow I did find a blue frosting crumb in her diaper though, which still baffles me. |
