Homeward Bound

We are in San Diego! Monday we all went to the airport together. Marcos flew to Denver for work. Emmy, Dominic and I flew here.  (Marcos will be meeting us in SD tomorrow).  Here are some airport pics:

Dominic was pretty good on the plane.  He definitely exceeded my expectations. He played quietly with a bag of peanuts for like 20 minutes!

Backyard Birthday!

On Saturday, we went to a birthday party for Dominic's little buddy, Luke.  Luke was turning 2!  I know one day they will seem close in age, but the party made me realize what a huge difference there is between 2-year-old kids and 11-month-old babies!  The two-year-olds were going crazy in the kid pool.  Splashing like crazy and doing body slams onto their padded little butts (At least I think they were all still in diapers!).  Dominic mostly observed.  We took a few pictures:

D had just finished eating some watermelon at the little table next to us. I loved how Luke came over and helped himself to some of D's watermelon.  Luke's Grandma saw and got him his some of his own, which Dominic then sampled to make sure it was the same stuff he had.  Neither of them got mad. Boys are great.

Then we rolled a ball back and forth with Tio Tony.

Of course he had to try to eat the ball.

The "big" kids took a break from swimming to eat cupcakes.

 

 

We took advantage of the sudden quiet and put Dominic in the pool, which was practically empty from all the splashing.  He immediately crawled over the collapsed pool wall to check out this truck someone left in the grass.

Still interested in what the big kids were doing!

Then Marcos pushed him in the swing. He loved it!

It was a fun morning!

Dad Does Dinner

Marcos said he was going to give Dominic his dinner.  I came out of my room and saw this:

Yes, they are both staring at the TV.  Yes, that's scotch on the table.
