What's that clear stuff?

Christina is allowed to have water now that she passed the 4 month mark.  We offered her some the other day, and it's almost like she refused to acknowledge there was a bottle in her mouth.  Somehow she didn't even have to suck to know it was a waste of effort.  Dominic's first taste of water was not very different.

I'm including this next picture to show poor Dominic who has been plagued with allergies since about the beginning of the month. It really stinks that we kind of just have to wait it out to see what is getting to him. Oak and mold have been high, so it could be one or both of those.  He is taking a daily allergy medication but his face still looks pretty bad most the time.  Luckily, it usually doesn't seem to bother him.

We walked to our neighborhood park last weekend to fly the helicopter Dominic and Marcos got from Santa.  It could not maintain signal between the helicopter and remote because of the sun - and there wasn't much that day.  It's disappointing the thing can only be flown indoors.

Sadly, his face looks even worse now

Dominic enjoyed climbing this tree that reminded me of the "magic tree" I grew up with
The weather has started to warm up around here. The highs were in the low 80s last week but this next week is showing 70s.  It's actually kind of perfect.  Christina got to wear one of many cute summer outfits in her collection.

Steffi snapped this shot of me and the kids the other night as we read Christie her bedtime book.  She is swaddled from the chest down just for warmth.

The rest of these pictures were taken today.

Christie looking very thrilled to have a police SUV barreling across her chest

And there's an update on how potty training is going, in case you were wondering

The Command Center

Some of you may remember this contraption from Dominic's infancy.  Christina has graduated to use of the Baby Einstein Musical Motion Activity Jumper.  I dubbed this thing the Command Center because it contains all the gadgets a baby needs to run his or her household, and even teaches a few Spanish and French words along the way.

(First time) Where did you put me, Mom!?!
This must be cool if big brother wants up.

Wow, lights and music!
(Feet not touching ground on lowest setting. Little Shrimp.)

Now, how did he do that?
Oh. Thank you, big brother.

Dominic so kindly filled the toy tray for her too.
What else could a gal need?
It was just a little too much the next night before bed.  But it made a good lounge chair.

Christina at 4 Months

Christina is four months old!!!  At 12lbs 13oz, she is kind of in between 3M and 6M sizes and wearing both.  She is starting to swat/grasp at objects and even appears to be showing an interest when we eat and drink.  She is very interested in her surroundings, and especially enjoys watching her rambunctious brother.  She usually only wakes to eat one time at night.  She takes at least two naps in her crib each day, some of which are actually decent (defined by me as longer than 45 minutes).  Some parts of her hair seem long, but I think she has less overall than she did at birth, and quite a bald spot on the back in the usual spot.  Her eyes have not turned brown yet, but I can't remember when Dominic's changed.  She likes to lock her knees and stand when being held.  She still enjoys watching ceiling fans.  She drinks about 5-6 ounces in a feeding and eats about 5 times per day.
